GridRecipeAI tool that turns recipes into tables

In the summer of 2026 a twenty-year-old format went viral again: the recipe as a table, with every ingredient and step in its own cell and the whole dish on one sheet. Everyone wanted their own, and nobody had a tool for it.

What we built

GridRecipe is free with no sign-in. You lay out the table yourself and share it with a link. What you pay for is the AI: photograph a handwritten recipe card or a cookbook page, or paste the link to a recipe buried under a 500-word life story, and get the table back.

The AI only does the tedious part, reading and structuring. The layout and how the cells interlock is our own code, and it reproduces the 2004 original exactly. The free version is manual on purpose, so the result looks made by a person.

Launch

Built and launched the same evening. The first recipe from a stranger arrived less than an hour after photo conversion went live, and the recipes users share pull more traffic than the marketing pages.
